Eric Wheeler was in the original cast of the very first performance of the newly formed Interact Theater in 1992. Since that time Eric has played in over 20 of Interact’s performances in both comedic and dramatic roles, distinguishing himself as one of Interact’s finest actors.
He played the title character in the hit Bubba Nielson: Endangered Species and also leading roles in three co-productions with other theatres: Let Heaven and Nature Sing with the History Theatre in 1996, The Boys Next Door with Mixed Blood Theatre in 2002, and The King of Hearts with Theatre Latte Da in 2005.
Eric also has toured extensively, performing the hit song “Too Many Chromosomes to Drive a Car” throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe. Most recently he traveled with Artistic Director Jeanne Calvit to Australia where he played the lead in the premier of the new work Between the Worlds.
